Mr. Ball is an administrator who stands out as a person who genuinely cares about each of the students entrusted to him, as well as each and every staff member he works alongside. He participates in every fun event, creating an environment at the school that is fun, inclusive, and motivating. He has received pies to the face and was taped to a pillar at the school, all to help motivate positive student behavior and climate. He and Mrs. Sanchez climbed the buildings at Christmas as elves, bringing smiles to everyone! His passion for supporting ALL students is evident in every interaction and in how he supports our students who need a bit more help. As a staff member, I know that I can count on Mr. Ball to really listen to my concerns and help me troubleshoot issues with respect, kindness, and understanding. He notices when things are difficult and offers his support, checking back in later to make sure things are going better. He also receives feedback well and applies it immediately. His passion for creating a positive school environment has made GES an even more wonderful place to be and I can see it in the attitudes and actions of the staff and students. He also does little things to show his appreciation for staff such as sweet treats in the staffroom.
